WHAT WE DO . . .
Producing the highest quality product is our goal. And, for us, quality control starts with pre-construction.
Whether a remodel or the construction of a new home, we get involved early in the design process, where we listen and learn about our clients’ priorities and the intent of the design team. We collaborate with architects and designers to make sure the details are correct on paper before we start. We help set goals for the project, then conduct research and provide insight on construction feasibility and efficiency. As the design evolves and develops, we prepare detailed estimates and critical path schedules. This collaborative approach enables our clients to make smart, informed decisions and to leverage the synergy of the group.
During construction we manage and control all job site activities. We implement systems that have been developed and refined over many years to ensure that everything meets the design specifications and our high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.

Founded by Tom Sherlock in 2005 with offices in in Aspen and Snowmass Village, SH Built is a small team of highly experienced professionals who share a passion for building and remodeling homes of uncompromising quality. As a boutique builder, we limit the number of our projects each year to a select few, allowing us to stay focused on our clients’ needs and to ensure that their homes are built to our own rigorous standards.
HOW WE COMMUNICATE . . .
Consistent and clear communication is the backbone of our business. Throughout our projects we conduct weekly meetings, document all decisions, provide weekly written progress reports, and engage in ongoing discussions on budget and schedule. Good communication is good business. It moves projects forward and keeps everyone working towards a unified goal.
HOW WE FEEL ABOUT SAFETY . . .
We feel strongly enough about safety to actually mention it here. We take safety seriously. Not only because we care deeply about our trade partners and co-workers, but because we care about mitigating risk to our clients
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER COMPLETION . . .
Long after the project is complete our Home Guardianship division will conduct regular inspections, help with maintenance items, and complete special projects.
